Santa Fe is a World of Fun Under the Sun—All Year Long!
Averaging over 300 days of sunshine a year, Santa Fe is an excellent
destination for travel during the winter, spring, summer or fall.
At 7,000 feet above sea level the city offers the best of many worlds…snow-covered
peaks, autumn leaves, mountain streams, desert trails and the bluest
of blue skies. (Because of the high altitude, it’s important
to drink large quantities of water for maintaining hydration, all
year ‘round.)
In the spring and summer, Santa Fe is ideal for hiking, mountain
biking, fly fishing, kayaking and rafting. Wintertime draws downhill
and cross-country skiers and snowboarders from around the world.
And in autumn, when the aspens change, the scenery is breathtaking
as the Sangre de Cristo Mountains turn from green to yellow in a
matter of weeks.
